Editor nerd

I’m just starting a new manuscript, a group of essays on the ritual life of Pentecostal-Charismatic Christians.

I love my work so much, not least of all because I get to read all sorts of things I never would otherwise.

I’ve read about tour guides in Indonesia, silk workers in Lyon, famine in Africa and ancient Rome, censorship in pre-WWI Berlin, the problem of MRSA infections in hospitals, the history and philosophy of evolutionary biology, and much more.

It’s almost never boring (almost . . . mechanical editing like removing extra spaces between sentences isn’t exactly thrilling) and almost always fascinating.

I’m a nerd like that, I guess.
